These handy little suction cups will mount your plate securely inside vehicle and building windows, and onto almost any smooth surface like glass and mirror, tile-board, many painted surfaces, and smooth laminates... Four of these little dandies cost you only $2 when ordered with any plate. ($3.50 to cover shipping when ordered separately.) Install these by putting the rear "mushroom" into the mounting slot so that one side of the slot is in the groove... Press the suction cup into the mounting slot with your thumb and rotate the cup while pressing... The mushroom head will snap into the mounting slot... If you are mounting the plate for display inside (looking through) a window, be sure that both the plate image and the suction up are facing you. Here is what they look like...  |
Here is a plate mounted inside a side window in a van... This could easily be a front, side, or rear window in any vehicle or building... Most folks don't even notice the suction mounting cups... We darkened and increased the contrast of this photo to help you to see them if you look closely.  ADDIONAL CONSIDERATIONS: Clean the glass before mounting your plate to enhance visibility and to allow the suction cups to stick for a long time... We've had plates stay up for many months without showing any sign of falling off.. Even so, we have not crash tested them and we suggest using the lower area when mounting plates in front windows to avoid the plate blocking visibility in the unlkely event that it falls... And, in this day of lawsuits, our lawyers insisted that the following release condition be associated with your use of this mounting method... Your use of our suction cups to mount license plates for display constitutes your agreement that you thereby release Discovery and all its employees and associates from any and all liability whatsoever connected with such use from this day foward until the end of time. WE CAN ALSO SHIP OUR PLATES WITH... MAGNETIC STRIPS on the plate back for displaying on steel cabinets... Only $2 extra... This is NOT recommended for use on moving vehicles because of air-flow between the vehicle and the plate. ADHESIVE STRIPS on the plate back for sticking onto any flat surface... Only $2 extra... This should be regarded as a permanent mounting measure because this stuff sticks like h-ll in interior applications... This is NOT recommended for use on moving vehicles because we have done no outside testing to see how it weathers when exposed to the elements. AND... LIKE MAGNETIC CAR SIGNS... We can print our license plate designs on magnetic car sign material... (TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE) Only $5 extra... This IS recommended for vehicle exterior use with the following considerations... Mount the sign in an area that allows full contact between the sign and the vehicle so that no air flows between the sign and the vehicle -and- remove the sign periodically and wax the vehicle surface beneath the sign to prevent rusting of the vehicle body. We also make large-size (9"x18") car signs... Because our designs are almost all in vector files, we can provide our designs on these large-size signs shipped to your door for $30 each, $55/pair.
